The full railway journey from Kandy to Ella covers approximately seven hours at a leisurely pace. We recommend booking at least four to six weeks before your preferred travel dates, particularly during peak seasons (December to March and July to August). This ensures availability of first-class rail seats and preferred accommodations. However, we can often accommodate shorter-notice bookings depending on current availability. Cancellations made more than 30 days before departure receive a full refund minus a processing fee. Cancellations between 14-30 days receive a 50% refund, while cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable.
